Honduras Travel Adventure

Honduras Travel Adventure

Honduras travel can be a real adventure, a learning opportunity, and it's cheap as well. While it is not always the most politically stable of countries, the people who live there are so used to the political coups and power scuffles in the capital that most of the have learned to ignore it and go about their daily lives regardless.

In the city of Juticalpa, you'll see familiar scenes of urban life as you would in any large city; teenagers strolling down the street while texting, dogs wandering the alleys, poking their noses into garbage cans.and guys with rifles guarding the banks and stores. Well, you won't see that in every big city, although in Latin America it's not really that uncommon. Many of the rural areas have no power and in those cities that do, the power can be sporadic. The local people are flexible and patient with these kind of things, but it can cause foreigners to freak out.
